Merge Partitions and Split Partition with Partition Magic Software

Since Windows server OSs like 2000, 2003 and 2008 applied, a series of common partition operations are taken into practice for the further needs of Windows server performance and manage.

  1. Why merge partitions into larger one?

    • Improper exist partition distribution
    • Make full use of free space/unallocated space for meet the needs in daily works
    • Increasing data storage needs
    • Better documents classifications
    • Running out of space, highly data loss risk

  2. Why split partition into smaller partitions?

    • Irrational partition size
    • Subdivision for the better data classifications
    • Dual boot
    • Different programs store method

So, how we can realize the jobs that users usually think impossible because it is on the exist hard disk and Windows Disk Management have no specific solution? If several years ago, people have no idea but have to reinstall the server OS to repartition hard drive again and again.
